- K-WEB is a new Web client from Keyscan Access Control Systems of Whitby, Ontario, Canada, that offers remote management of the company’s System VII access control system. Unlike other access control solutions, K-WEB does not compromise building or enterprise security by placing access panels on the Web, and it requires no monthly access fees.

Video Archiving

- Geutebruck of Windhagen, Germany, has added the fading long-term memory (FLTM) software option to its CCTV platforms. Systems can retain high-quality video for long periods using less storage capacity by progressively reducing the frame rate of stored footage over time.

- The AXIS Camera Station is comprehensive video management software for monitoring, playback, and event management of up to 50 Axis network cameras or video encoder channels.

Incident Reporting

- Perspective Version 1.3 is the latest release of the incident reporting and investigation management software from PPM 2000 of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Video Software

- On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. of Suffern, New York, has launched version 6.0 of its ProSight SMB IP video surveillance platform for small and medium businesses. It comes bundled with the company’s NetGuard-EVS video client, which enables remote monitoring, after-the-fact investigation assisted by digital pan-tilt-zoom into recorded images and access to motion-detection events, and the export of evidence.

- Vicon Industries Inc. of Hauppauge, New York, has introduced a new version of its digital video management software. ViconNet 5.0 offers open platform flexibility, allowing for easy integration with IP cameras from most major manufacturers.

Guard Tour System

- Morse Watchmans Inc. of Oxford, Connecticut, has simplified guard tour procedures with its PowerCheck Guard Tour System. The hand-held computerized system has multiple tour capabilities and integrated functions and reporting options.

Employee Scheduling

- A new version of the Visual Staff Scheduler Pro software from Atlas Business Solutions of Fargo, North Dakota, allows users to schedule personnel more easily and efficiently. Version 10 allows users to rotate schedules and apply schedule patterns in seconds for planning weeks, months, and even years in advance.

Access Control Management

- Videx, Inc., of Corvallis, Oregon, has introduced a standalone version of its CyberAudit-Web Lite software. Designed for small businesses, this user-friendly software works in conjunction with CyberLock electronic locks and keys to create a complete access control system without wiring.

Viewing Software

- The ViconNet VN-2500 viewer software from Vicon Industries of Hauppauge, New York, provides the ability to view up to 64 cameras using a single PC workstation as part of a ViconNet video surveillance network. It can connect up to four monitors to the PC, each displaying up to 64 camera feeds.

Rack-Design Software

- In response to customer feedback, Middle Atlantic Products of Fairfield, New Jersey, has enhanced its RackTools system design and specification software. The software now offers a product search function and improvements to its drawing tool, which can be locked in the horizontal or vertical plane for easier, more accurate measurements.
