- Johnson Controls of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has introduced the IFA-1000 Intelligent Fire Annunciator, an interactive touch screen video display system that allows firefighters and emergency responders to quickly and accurately access lifesaving information.

- New York-based Send Word Now has released its Incident Management Service, which will be fully integrated with the company’s Emergency Notification Service to provide fully integrated incident management and mass notification tools via a Software-as-a-Service model.

Crime Prevention APP

- IcePics of Metairie, Louisi­ana, has introduced a new application for the iPhone that could help in preventing and solving crimes. The user simply pushes the IcePics button on the phone, and it e-mails a photograph and the location of the phone to a preselected list of addresses.

- GVI Security of Carrollton, Texas, has introduced autoIP, a simple, open-platform, video-management software that is compatible with a variety of major IP camera manufacturers.

- Feeling Software of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, has launched the Omni­presence 3D security platform, Version 2.3. Omni­pre­sence is a visualization and decision-making security application that enables control-room operators to make intuitive use of large-scale, complex security infrastructure.

- CAP Index, Inc., announced the availability of its new 2010 CRIMECAST database, which allows users to assess crime risk at specific locations throughout the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

- New tools from i2 Inc. of Mc­Lean, Virginia, are designed to help law enforcement, military, and government organizations fight criminal and terrorist activity. The new tools build on the company’s Intelligence-Led Operations Platform, an integrated set of analysis, visualization, and management applications that identifies connections and patterns from disparate data sources.

- Digital Monitoring Products of Springfield, Missouri, has released Version 205 software for its DMP XR100/XR500 Command Processor panels. Now users can control their alarm systems via SMS text commands from a cell phone or a browser.

- CAP Index, Inc., of Exton, Pennsylvania, has launched RedFlag 2.0, a comprehensive risk assessment tool that helps companies evaluate possible hazards from natural disasters, crime, terrorism, and other threatening scenarios.

- Continental Access of Amityville, New York, has released updated CA3000 v.2.7 software that works very fast for seamless multitasking even during peak traffic hours. It enables door opening times of less than half a second, even when processing complex credentials such as FIPS-201 PIV badges.

Security Platform

- Genetec of Montreal, Canada, has released the latest version of its unified security platform. Security Center 4.0 unifies the company’s Omnicast IP video surveillance and Synergis IP access control systems with its AutoVu IP license plate recognition (LPR) system.
