Face Recognition

- Animetrics of Conway, New Hampshire, has released its first application programming interface (API) for commercial licensing. The FaceR API makes it possible for software developers to write programs based on Animetrics’ advanced 3D facial recognition and identity management solutions technology, which is used in law enforcement agencies worldwide. The FaceR API provides the critical functions for face detection, facial features detection, and 2D to 3D pose correction, which converts an angulated facial image to a perfectly normalized frontal image. This may be used to improve matching performance in any face recognition system, facial enrollment into galleries, face recognition capability, and gallery management


- Software House of Westford, Massachusetts, has updated its C-CURE 9000 security and event management platform to simplify the management of personnel access.


- Schreiner PrinTrust of Oberschleissheim, Germany, offers a comprehensive solution for access accreditation at major events. Event organizers can grant specific access to press, caterers, and security personnel, in addition to their own employees.


- Global Enterprise Tech­nol­ogies Corp. (GET Group) of Waltham, Massachusetts, has introduced the CP500 identification card printer, an advanced desktop retransfer printer that combines the superior forensics of 600-dpi pigment ink with user-upgradeable encoding features to deliver a secure card printing solution.


- Badgetec of New City, New York, has introduced new laser- and inkjet-printable sheets for producing name badges with­out plastic sleeves.


- The SignalTEK II Qualifier from IDEAL Networks, US, of San Diego, California, helps integrators test and trouble­shoot critical functions required for IP physical security systems.

Phone Authentication

- PhoneFactor of Overland Park, Kansas, offers a two-factor authentication service that uses any mobile or landline phone as the second form of authentication.

Surveillance software

- Integral Technologies, Inc., has updated its digital video surveillance software.

Airport security management

- The Pro-Watch Airport Pack is an enhanced version of the Pro-Watch Security Management system from Honeywell of Louisville, Kentucky.

Iris reader

- Panasonic Security Systems of Secaucus, New Jersey, has introduced a new iris reader that provides noninvasive biometric identification and authentication. The BM-ET200 Iris Reader combines video and imaging technology with a new iris image-capture engine and dual mirror design.

Document verification

- Identity verification technology from Intelli-Check, Inc., of Woodbury, New York, has been added to the PassagePoint Visitor Management software systems from STOPware, Inc., of San Jose, California. Intelli-Check’s DCM/2 data capture module can confirm the authenticity of a government-issued identification document.
