Fiber-Optic Sensing

- The new generation of fiber-optic sensing technology from Future Fibre Technologies of Mulgrave, Victoria, Australia, can sense the difference between a tropical downpour and a real security intrusion and virtually eliminate nuisance alarms.

Bollards

- SecureUSA, Inc., of Cumming, Georgia, has introduced a line of sidewalk bollards that require less than a foot of foundation depth. The bollards have been crash-tested and certified by the U.S. Department of State at the K4 level, withstanding 15,000 pounds at 30 miles per hour.

Perimeter Security

- CommandSpace from ICx Technologies of Billerica, Massachusetts, provides an integrated command view of critical infrastructure, force protection, or border applications. It provides a fully integrated and scalable perimeter security solution. Components are scalable for future expansion and integration.

Perimeter Security

- Intelligent Perimeter Systems of Dublin, Ohio, has introduced two new antiterrorist products that integrate physical and electronic technologies.

Infrared Barriers

- Sorhea of Vaulx-en-Velin, France, manufactures perimeter detection systems using infrared barriers, high-frequency barriers, and boundary impact detection. Infrared beams form a virtual barrier between transmitter and receiver columns, creating a continuous wall that is invisible to the naked eye. Intruders passing through the barrier break the beams and trigger an alarm contact, causing their presence to be detected without their knowledge.

Metal Weapons Detection

- CEIA USA of Twinsburg, Ohio, makes walkthrough, portable, and hand-held metal detectors for various uses. They offer a 100 percent detection rate, excellent reliability, and easy installation and operation. For events with large crowds, they offer the highest level of throughput available.

Security Fogger

- Atlanta-based ShatterGARD Inc. has developed a new security fogger that stops burglars by producing a dense wall of harmless fog that obscures an intruder’s vision. When triggered by a motion sensor or door trip, FogSHIELD ejects enough fog to blanket a space of 2,000 square feet in less than 15 seconds.

Outdoor camera

- SightLogix has released an automated outdoor security surveillance camera with fully integrated analytic processing.

Panic device power

- Designed to handle the high current surge that panic hardware locking devices require, the StrikeIt1 offers a comprehensive power solution for single or multiple hardware devices.

Revolving door

- Stanley Security Solutions Canada of Toronto, Canada, has introduced a revolving door that adapts for use in a wide variety of applications.

Active denial camera

- ICx Technologiesof Washington, D.C., has developed the Illuminator, a surveillance camera with ambient illumination and near-infrared, offering a technology alternative to infrared devices for short- to mid-range use.

Secure fencing

- Wheatland Tube Company of Collingswood, New Jersey, has introduced a high-strength, high-security HS-83K fence framework, which is designed to provide greater stability from wind loads and to address perimeter-security concerns in high-risk areas.

Locks with 2 3/8" backset

- Kaba Access Control of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is now offering a 2 3/8” backset latch for use on an ASA 160-door prep.
