Dark bronze locks

- Kaba Access Control of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has added a new dark bronze finish option to its line of Simplex/E-Plex 5000 Series locks replacing the Duranodic painted finish.

Keying system

- Indianapolis-based Stanley Security Solutions has introduced the MX8 Patented Keying System for flexibility and convenience without compromising security. A patented side pin ensures that cylinders and cores operate only with the proper key. The system is offered in two series of keyways.

Electronic padlocks

- CyberLock technology from Videx of Corvallis, Oregon, brings key control and an audit trail to padlocks. The electronic padlock cannot be compromised by conventional lock-picking methods, and the CyberKey cannot be duplicated.

Access Control Integration

- Honeywell of Louisville, Kentucky, has launched WIN-PAK SE with VISTA integration, a single interface that combines access control and video with intrusion.

- Brivo Systems of Bethesda, Maryland, has announced the release of Version 1.0.2h of the ACS OnSite Application, its standalone access control system, which is especially suited for providing security at a single facility, even if that facility houses more than one business.

- NAPCO Security Systems, Inc.,of Amityville, New York, has introduced the Freedom F64 Code-free Security System, which eliminates false alarms and maximizes account retention.

Light exit device

- ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions of New Haven, Connecticut, has introduced a new exit device that is an improved physical barrier over standard rim latchbolts.

Access control

- Instant Axess from LookC Limited of Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom, provides users with control of hundreds or thousands of doors spread over hundreds or thousands of sites from a single Web page.

Badging solution

- IDenticard has released expressionsID, a new identification and badging software solution with a variety of security features built in for safeguarding the ID badges as well as the software.

Smart-card readers

- HID Global of Irvine, California, has launched FlexSmart MIFARE and DESFire Contactless Smart Card Readers. The interoperable ISO 14443A-compliant family of products provides options for customers looking for customizable readers or those who prefer readers that are ready to use.

Biometric authentication

- The Sargent BioFob from ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions of New Haven, Connecticut, is a handheld, wireless, biometric fob that uses fingerprint-based biometrics to authenticate the identity of the fob owner before granting access to items including locks, computers, or other equipment enabled with proximity card access control.

Electrified locks

- The SDC Selectric 7800 series from Security Door Controls of Westlake Village, California, allows the electrification of all major brand mechanical locksets, including SDC, Schlage, Yale, Corbin Russwin, Sargent, Best, Arrow, Dorma, and Marks.

Privacy lock

- The E-Plex 5000 Series by Kaba Access Control of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is now available with a privacy lock option. The privacy feature is activated by turning a knob on the inside lock housing.
