Remote Surveillance

- The SmarterDVR 150 is a self-powered complete video surveillance system from Smarter Security Systems of Austin, Texas. The system includes a still camera, a video camera, invisible infrared for nighttime security, a flash-based digital video recorder, and a GSM cellular modem that can send alarm alerts via text messages or e-mails with snapshot evidence.

Security Management

- Nedap Security Management of Groenlo, The Netherlands, has added a new generic security controller and other components to its security management offerings. With the addition of standard software components, the new controller eliminates the need for separate, dedicated access control, CCTV, intrusion, and intercom systems.

- The REDWALL V is a new and re-engineered version of the REDWALL series of external detection devices from Optex Europe of Maidenhead, Berkshire, United Kingdom. The new family features five integrated technologies that yield high capture rates and low false alarm rates.

- Pelco of Clovis, California, has added Endura Intelligent Video & Analytics to its Endura IP Video Security System. Through constant screening and filtering of video, this solution uses predefined rules to identify specific conditions and notify operators via alarms so they can make quick, informed decisions.

Video Analytics

- NICE Inform is part of a comprehensive security solution from NICE Systems that enables proactive detection of events through video analytics. The newest release of NICE Inform offers synchronous replay of captured audio and video for comprehensive incident reconstruction.

Updated Video Platform

- New versions of XProtect Enterprise 6.5 IP video management software from Milestone Systems of Copenhagen, Denmark, support H.264 compression technology and more than a dozen languages.

Intelligent Video

- Perceptrak by Cernium Corporation of Reston, Virginia, is an advanced video analytics system that seamlessly integrates with leading video management systems to provide full-spectrum intelligent video analytics capabilities to enterprise-class IP video surveillance installations.
