09/02/2014 - ComNet, Communication Networks, of Danbury, Connecticut, has introduced the NetWave NW7 wireless Ethernet link designed for high throughput point-to-point or multipoint applications. The NW7 supports up to 240Mbps throughput using MIMO technology and is ideal for use as a high throughput back haul link for installations that require connecting to more than one Ethernet device. It supports connected distances of greater than two miles in the FCC version and 4 kilometers in the ETSI model. It is a cost-effective alternative to physical connections to Ethernet edge equipment.
07/22/2014 - Middle Atlantic Products of Fairfield, New Jersey, has expanded its SNE Series Security Network Enclosure offering with seismic certification and other options. Designed to meet the specific requirements of IP, analog, and hybrid security systems, SNE is available in four configurations to fit system type, wiring needs, ventilation requirements, and cabinet location. SNE is the first seismic-certified security-purposed cabinet exceeding a 1,000-pound weight capacity when outfitted with new anchor brackets for concrete floors or seismic riser bases for raised floors. A new adapter enables threaded rail, cage nut rail, or the use of both in the same rack.
05/20/2014 - Securitron of Sparks, Nevada, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, has launched its AQD6 Series of 6 Amp Switching Power Supplies. These units provide field-selectable 6 amps at 12 or 24 VDC with up to 16 independently controlled power-limited outputs. The power supplies are UL 294, 6th Edition listed. The AQD6 is a dual-voltage supervised unit with a dedicated battery-charging circuit that provides tight control of output while charging the batteries. It powers magnetic locks, electric strikes, card readers, sensors, access control boards, and other devices in access systems, and can also be used to power cameras and DC locking equipment.
