IP Receiver

- Bosch Security Systems, Inc., of Fairport, New York, has expanded its Information Transport Solutions portfolio with the Conettix D6100i Communications Receiver/Gateway. The unit offers low-cost IP communications for monitoring in small central stations, university campuses, or gated communities.

Video Transaction

- Altronix of Brooklyn, New York, has introduced the HubWayLD, which brings centralized transmission to larger and more complex video surveillance installations. It transmits UTP video and RS-422/S-485 data on a single CAT-5E or CAT-6 cable for distances of up to 3,000 feet.

Equipment Rack

- R4 Series Four Post Open Frame Racks are designed for heavier, deeper, digital components. Made by Middle Atlantic Products of Fairfield, New Jersey, the racks promote effective thermal management, cable, and space requirements.

Lacer Strips

- Middle Atlantic Products, Inc., of Fairfield, New Jersey, has introduced Vertical Lacer Strips with a new design that eliminates the need to “fish” in cable ties. The strips provide integrators with a large number of cable-tie points for organizing and arranging cable runs of any size within an enclosure system.

- The V’nes Video Network Enterprise Solution from American Fibertek, Inc., of Somerset, New Jersey, is a fiber optic transmission system designed for dedicated security applications with an open path for integration of analog and IP products from other manufacturers.

- Designed specifically for data centers and storage area networks, Micro Data Center Plenum Fiber Optic Cable from Berk-Tek of New Holland, Pennsylvania, incorporates the company’s patented dry loose-tube technology in a smaller outside diameter that is adapted specifically for the indoor-only data center, storage area network, and building backbone environment.

Fiber transmission products

- American Fibertek, Inc., of Somerset, New Jersey, has introduced several point-to-point fiber transmission products. New contact closure systems do not require any soldering.

IP surveillance platform

- Optelecom-NKF of Germantown, Maryland, has unveiled a new platform for building integrated, intelligent IP surveillance solutions.

Security management

- S2 Security Corporation of Wellesley, Massachusetts, has introduced the S2 NetBox XL, which addresses large-scale deployments of S2 NetBox systems and S2 Network Nodes, making it possible to scale systems across any geography while providing both local and remote Web-based control.

IP camera troubleshooter

- VideogeniX of Brookline, Massachusetts, has introduced the iPulse, a compact add-on that monitors the output of an IP camera’s digital signal. If the signal is interrupted, the device sends a command to restart the camera, eliminating the need for human intervention.

Intrusion detection

- New fiber-optic intrusion detection systems from the Fiber Patrol division of Optellios of Langhorne, Pennsylvania, incorporate the ViconNet Digital Video Management System made by Vicon Industries, Inc., of Hauppauge, New York.
