Network camera

- The TD4114IPII Day/Night network dome from ELMO USA of Plainview, New York, has added power over Ethernet (PoE) support via the camera’s port network connection and third-party PoE bridges, eliminating the need for an external power source and reducing infrastructure requirements to a single cable.

- Exacq Technologies has released exacqVision IP software, an inexpensive but full-featured network video surveillance system that operates on a Windows XP computer and is designed to integrate with any IT infrastructure.

- Sanyo Security Systems of Chatsworth, California, has released its Video Pilot Network Video Management and Recording Solution.

Dome camera

- The new i-Pro WV-NS202 Color Network PTZ Dome Camera from Panasonic Security Systems of Secaucus, New Jersey, offers Super Dynamic III technology on a networked platform.

Web-hosted access control

- ADT Security Services, Inc., of Boca Raton, Florida, has launched a new version of its ADT Select Entry Web-hosted access control service that integrates video with access control events.

Public view monitors

- Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd., of Chatsworth, California, has introduced two new Acuity Public View Monitors. The PVM-L200 and PVM-L300 are LCD monitor systems with integrated cameras, all enclosed within a hardened chassis.

IP camera troubleshooter

- VideogeniX of Brookline, Massachusetts, has introduced the iPulse, a compact add-on that monitors the output of an IP camera’s digital signal. If the signal is interrupted, the device sends a command to restart the camera, eliminating the need for human intervention.

Intrusion detection

- New fiber-optic intrusion detection systems from the Fiber Patrol division of Optellios of Langhorne, Pennsylvania, incorporate the ViconNet Digital Video Management System made by Vicon Industries, Inc., of Hauppauge, New York.

Security management

- Honeywell of Louisville, Kentucky, has launched Pro-Watch Release 3.7 software, which offers a complete security management solution, including access control, alarm monitoring, video badging, and CCTV system interface.

Public monitor systems

- Bosch Security Systems of Fairport, New York, has added four new models of public view monitor systems to its CCTV line. The UMS-20S36 and UMS 20W39 Series systems include a 20.1-inch color LCD display, high-resolution camera, integrated memory card reader, and motion and light sensors.

Redesigned recorders

- Vicon Industries Inc. of Hauppauge, New York, has redesigned the appearance of its Kollector Elite and Kollector Pro digital network video recorders.

Dome cameras

- Bosch Security Systems of Fairport, New York, has incorporated 15-bit Dinion digital imaging and XF-Dynamic technologies into its FlexiDome family of surveillance cameras. The rugged cameras are ideal for hazardous indoor and outdoor locations and deliver excellent picture quality even in extreme weather or lighting conditions.
