Hybrid Video System

- The new MPEG-4 hybrid digital video management system (DVMS) from Indianapolis-based Integral Technologies, Inc., supports both IP and analog cameras. The DigitalSENTRY 1000 captures five to ten frames per second and supports industry-standard pan-tilt-zoom cameras and other devices.

Camera Module

- Bosch Security Systems, Inc., of Fairport, New York, has released a new AutoDome camera module that offers 36x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom along with digital image stabilization technology. The module is available for the AutoDome Modular 300 and 500i Series.

Video Management

- ViconNet 4.0 is the next generation of digital video management software from Vicon Industries Inc. of Hauppauge, New York. Designed to integrate analog and digital equipment into a fully integrated, network-based system, it features a virtual matrix controller, allowing the display of video from any camera using any monitor.

Product Guide

- Altronix Corporation has produced its 2007 product guide, which encompasses the complete line of its products, including power supplies and accessories for UTP video products. It is organized into sections featuring security, access, fire, CCTV, automation, and accessories with each section tabbed and color-coded for convenience. It also includes a listing of product shipping weights by model number and an index. The pocket-sized guide is handy for quick reference.

Video Recorders

- Dallmeier electronic GmbH & Co. of Regensburg, Germany, has introduced a line of “In Memory of Leonardo” real-time recorders with virtual matrix function. Designed with Leonardo da Vinci’s inventive genius in mind, they use the latest H.264 compression standard and provide audio on all channels and at all frame rates.

Bullet Camera

- The new HT-INT8B Intensifier weatherproof bullet camera from Speco Technologies of Amityville, New York, features resolution of 540 lines and a 2.8- to 10-millimeter auto-iris varifocal lens. This model also offers dual voltage (12 VDC/24 VAC) operation with line lock and a new easy-mounting system. The cameras can produce images in low light without using infrared LEDs. The intensifier technology amplifies and maximizes existing light to generate pictures in darkness.

Weather-Resistant Cameras

- GVI Security Solutions, Inc., has introduced a new line of high-resolution, weather-resistant, indoor-outdoor bullet and infrared video cameras. The three new bullet cameras feature high-resolution 1/3-inch Sony Super HAD CCD image sensors with up to 550 lines of color and 580 lines of black-and-white resolution.

Dome Camera

- Verint Systems of Melville, New York, has introduced the Nextiva S2700e, a high-resolution, PAL IP mini-dome camera that features triple-axis lens rotation for flexible installation. Designed for both color and day-to-night use, indoors and out, the camera delivers dual stream, DVD-quality video.

Infrared Lenses

- Three new infrared lenses have been introduced by CBC (America) Corporation of Commack, New York. Computar Day/Night IR lenses are engineered to work with IR illuminators and true day/night cameras that use retractable IR cut filters. They eliminate the focus shift that often occurs with conventional lenses at night.

Mini Dome

- The Picodome DDF3000APV from Dallmeier electronic of Regensburg, Germany, has a housing diameter of 80 millimeters and a dome cover measuring just 57 millimeters. The discreet, vandal-resistant camera offers an ultra-high dynamic range with high-resolution sensor technology. It provides 540 TV lines of resolution for detailed pictures without blooming or smearing.

Color Monitor

- The MOD192CL high-performance, flat screen LCD color monitor is designed for a range of CCTV security applications. Made by Bosch Security Systems, Inc., of Fairport, New York, the monitor includes on-screen menus in several languages, front panel controls, and a lockout feature that disables the front panel control buttons. Its compact styling and narrow depth enable it to fit into small spaces.

Video Software

- Milestone Systems of Copenhagen, Denmark, has released version 6.0 of XProtect Professional, its video management software. Users can access advanced video management functionality using the Smart Client that allows viewing of up to 64 cameras at once, smart searching, timeline browsing, digital zoom, matrix plug-in, and more.

PTZ Network Camera

- Axis Communications of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, has launched the AXIS 215 PTZ network camera, a pan-tilt-zoom camera that is shaped like a dome camera and provides 360-degree panning with the use of an auto-flip feature. It offers automatic day and night functionality, 12X optical zoom, 4X digital zoom, and autofocus.
