- Gamewell-FCI by Honeywell has expanded its portfolio of emergency communications systems to include wireless and hard-wired audible notification solutions for outdoor applications. High-powered speaker and siren systems, developed by Acoustic Technology, Inc., of East Boston, Massachusetts, deliver continuous tone alerts and voice announcements.

- Fire-Lite Alarms of Northford, Connect­icut, has released a fire alarm IP communications module that enables complete upload/download capabilities via any IP connection.

Intrusion Detection

- Future Fibre Technologies of Mulgrave, Victoria, Australia, has developed an Arabic version of its CAMS technology. The Arabic version delivers an intuitive graphical alarm interface and works with the company’s patented alarm recognition and discrimination technology.

Loss Prevention

- The Sensormatic Ultra-Lite solution from ADT Security Services of Boca Raton, Florida, can protect broader merchandise lines using one detaching platform. The electronic article surveillance solution offers easy application and removal of tags, saving employees time at point of sale and expediting the customer checkout process.

Motion Detector

- Inovonics has developed a high-traffic wireless motion detector. The EchoStream EN1261HT features a detection range of up to 50 feet and offers increased immunity to radio-frequency interference, vibration, static, lighting, ambient temperature changes, and other potential sources of false activation.

- Fire-Lite Alarms of Northford, Connecticut, is offering the ability to monitor fire alarm panels over the Internet, eliminating the need for phone lines dedicated to fire alarm communication with a central station.
