The National Incident Management System (NIMS), the federal government’s approach to crisis response, has become so institutionalized that any emergency manager working for any level of government must be familiar with it. Those expecting to closely work with government agencies in crisis situations must also understand the system. In addition, organizations with their own emergency operations centers (EOCs) now need to plan and structure their EOCs in compliance with NIMS.
The Emergency Film Group has created a training and familiarization package for government personnel at all levels to learn or review the essentials of NIMS and the related matters associated with emergency response.
