Card Printer

The Enduro card printer is an upgradeable ID card printer from Magicard, a division of Ultra Electronics Group of Redmond, Washington. The printer can be changed from single- to dual-sided card printing with a simple drop-in upgrade kit. It offers an ISO magnetic-stripe encoding option, as well as the HoloKote anti-counterfeiting watermark available in four standard designs. The printer works for occasional printing, as well as volume customization and comes equipped with a 100-card feeder. Other features include a color-changing LCD display with buttons, a USB interface, and a Microsoft plug-and-play driver.

Day/Night Camera

The SHC735N super-wide dynamic-range, ultra-high resolution, day/night camera incorporates fourth generation proprietary digital signal processing technology. New from Samsung 360 of Melville, New York, the camera offers 560 TV lines of resolution in color and 700 lines in black-and-white. An ICR filter provides day/night switchover. New noise-reduction technology further increases picture quality by eliminating noise in low light, while it reduces the amount of storage space needed on digital video recorders. Proprietary Highlight backlight compensation can eliminate problems caused by bright lights, such as headlights. It also offers motion detection, privacy masking, digital zoom, and digital image stabilization.

Digital Recorders

New from the Imaging Products Division of Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America is the DX-TL4700U series digital video recorders, which feature high-density recording of up to 240 pictures per second (pps), intuitive navigation, and ease of use. The DX-TL4716U 16-channel unit provides refresh rates of 960 pps live and 240 recorded, while dual multiplexer outputs allow simultaneous live and recorded viewing on two monitors. The DX-TL4709U 9-channel unit enables live view at 540 pps. Both units offer an array of search options, multiple HDD options, and advanced motion detection using up to 418 detection dots. Other standard features include pan-tilt-zoom control of dome cameras plus an integrated CD/DVD drive and USB port for easy copying.
