The AdvanceGuard AGS1600 EXTREME radar from Navtech Radar of Wantage, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, was designed to cope with the environmental conditions found in oil and gas exploration and production facilities. The security solution operates in any conditions, including wind, snow, rain, fog, and sand. It offers superior tracking and tracing capabilities, and its alarm log and operator acknowledgement features provide a complete audit trail. It is especially valuable where physical barriers are impossible to use.

Silent Circle of National Harbor, Maryland, offers the Silent Phone secure encrypted data communications service for Android and Apple iOS devices. The application enables secure video via smartphone over 3G, 4G, EDGE, and Wi-Fi networks. The custom-built Silent Network protects voice and video call data from interception and eavesdropping. It offers high-fidelity communications using the ZRTP peer-to-peer encryption protocol, which eliminates third-party encryption key management and tampering risks. Customers download the app from Google Play or the App Store and create an account, which features a unique phone number for secure, end-to-end encrypted calls between any two subscribers. With the Out-Circle Access option, encrypted calls can be made to regular phone lines.

MeadWestvaco Corporation of Richmond, Virginia, has launched a security solution that promotes open merchandising while protecting products against theft throughout the supply chain. The Intercept lock uses proprietary security technology from ProTeqt Technologies of Franklin, Massachusetts. It features a wireless-enabled lock placed on a product, such as in the micro USB port of a mobile phone. It disables the product’s functionality until the lock is deactivated during checkout. If the product is not legally purchased, thieves are left with a worthless product.

Minneapolis-based Banner Engineering has released the tower light configurator, an online tool that allows users to customize tower light selections and view related information. Users can design their own tower lights by choosing from standard, high-intensity, and daylight-visible beacon models; up to 10 color choices; steady, rotating, and steady light functions; continuous, pulsed, and staccato audible functions; and housing colors and connections. The tool provides a corresponding model number, wiring diagrams, CAD files, and data sheets to help streamline the purchasing decision.
