The SignalTEK II Qualifier from IDEAL Networks, US, of San Diego, California, helps integrators test and troubleshoot critical functions required for IP physical security systems. The device verifies that the system’s copper or fiber cabling is capable of supporting bandwidth-heavy IP-based video surveillance applications. Next the device tests IP connections, validating addressing, testing Internet and cloud connections, and ensuring connectivity to video recorders, video clients, decoders, and wireless nodes. It will also load-test network capacity between cameras and the recorder, storage, and client locations. Finally, it generates documentation that is easily downloaded, viewed, and printed via a Web browser.
