The SignalTEK II Qualifier from IDEAL Networks, US, of San Diego, California, helps integrators test and troubleshoot critical functions required for IP physical security systems. The device verifies that the system’s copper or fiber cabling is capable of supporting bandwidth-heavy IP-based video surveillance applications. Next the device tests IP connections, validating addressing, testing Internet and cloud connections, and ensuring connectivity to video recorders, video clients, decoders, and wireless nodes. It will also load-test network capacity between cameras and the recorder, storage, and client locations. Finally, it generates documentation that is easily downloaded, viewed, and printed via a Web browser.

IndigoVision of Edison, New Jersey, has developed an end-to-end solution to deliver evidential video that can be guaranteed to be free from tampering. The solution uses digital watermarking of live video at the point of recording, building in additional security that eliminates the risk of tampering of the video at any stage, from recording to export. Other new features in the company’s Control Center video management software include improved alarm and event management, AutoCad map support, and improved camera management to support hundreds of thousands of cameras.
