Contigo Systems Inc. of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has announced that the MOBILELOCK from DeWalt of Towson, Maryland, is available for resale on the Contigo GPS platform. The MOBILELOCK is an advanced GPS beacon and antitheft alarm system designed for protecting construction equipment, tools, copper wire, and other portable assets. Completely self-contained, it can operate for up to 30 days on a single battery charge. Optional accessories include an extended run-time battery kit, providing 90 days of use; an indoor motion detector; and an equipment power adaptor. Coupled with the Contigo Web-based software system, it allows customers to locate their assets around the clock and create schedules for location reporting, arming or disarming sensors, and geofence alerts. Central stations can monitor events through a monitoring station module and use the built-in public safety answering point system to dispatch authorities in emergencies.
