Secura Key of Chatsworth, California, has launched the NOVA.16 (Model SK-MRCP) multireader access control panel for the legacy SK-NET system. The panel connects to the local area network and to a high-speed RS-485 peripheral network consisting of up to 16 single-door Smart Readers. The combination of control panel and readers is more cost-effective than two-reader or four-reader panels, eliminating the labor and cost of cable runs and multiple panel installations. Expansion is easy and inexpensive; to add individual doors, the user can connect additional readers and make all door connections at the reader. For more than 16 doors, additional panels can be added. NOVA.16 can be combined with legacy two-door control panels.
